before the Subscriber a Justice of the peace in &
for Said State and County aforesaid personal
ly came and appeared Nancy May well known
to me to be the wife of William May, who signed
the above deed for the relinquishment of real Es-
tate; who being duly examined according to Law
Separate and apart from her husband acknowled-
ged and declared that She Signed Sealed & delivered
the foregoing indenture for the purposes & with
the intent thereby to convey all her Interest &
to relinquish and renounce all her dower, and
right of dower in and to the Said tract, lot or
parcel of land, and premises in Said Inden-
ture mentioned & described, as Sould and conveyed
and that the same was done by her freely and volun
tarilly and without any compulsion constraint
apprehension or fear, of or from her said Hus
band, the Said William May. In Witness whereof I
