                     This indenture made on the twenty fifth day of 
March in the year one thousand eight hundred and fifty Six, between James J.
Mixson, Charles J. Mixson & Mary Mixson his and John G. Polhill and Susan M.
Polhill his wife of the first part, And Jeremiah Gamage of the second part
witnesseth, That for and in consideration of the sum of one hundred dollars to 
them in hand paid at and before the sealing and delivery hereof, the receipt 
where of is hereby acknowledged. The said parties of the first part have given,
granted bargained sold and conveyed, and by these presents do so give grant bargain 
sell and convey unto the said party of the second part, his heirs and assigns
all that certain town lot or parcel of land, Situate in the Village of Micanopy 
and known and described as follows To Wit, Beginning at the street running
into the publick square from the Seminary, and running fifty feet North, 
thence Sixty one feet ten inches west, thence fifty feet south, thence Sixty 
one feet ten inches east to the point of beginning, fronting on the public
square, To have and to hold the said lot of land, together with all and 
singular the appurtinances to the same, belonging or in any wise appertaining 
there unto to the said Jeremiah Gamage his heirs, executors administrators 
and assigns, to his and to their proper use and behoof in fee simple forever, 
And this conveyance is expressly made subject by the said parties of 
the first part and excepted by the said party of the second part to 
the following conditions, which is to follow the above granted premises 
and every part and parcel thereof in perpetuity forever, and all 
future conveyances hereafter to be made, shall be subject to the same
that is to say, that no Whiskey shop or other place for retailing spirituous 
liquors or ardent spirits shall ever be kept on the ^said premises or any part of 
the same, and in case of a violation of this condition; the said party of 
the second part, himself his heirs and assigns covenants and agrees with 
the said parties of the first part; there shall be a forfeiture of all the 
grants in this or their deeds to the last vendor of any part of or portion 
of the said premises, And the said parties of the first part, for themselves 
their heirs executors and Administrators covenant and agree with the 
said party of the second part, his heirs executors, Administrators and assigns,
that they are seized in fee of the afore granted premises; that they are free 
from all incumbrances; that they have good right and title to sell and
convey the same, and that they will, and their heirs, executors adm=
=inistrators shall warrant and defend the same to the said partys of 
the second part, his heirs and assigns forever against the lawfull
claims and demands of all persons, In witness whereof we have hereunto 
set our hands and affixed our seals, on the day and year first above
