State of Florida } This Indenture, made this the
Alachua County   } 31st day of March in year of our Lord
one thousand Eight and fifty Seven, between George B. Payne
of the Village of Micanopy, State and County aforesaid, of the
first part, and Frances E. Carn of the Village of Micanopy
State and County aforesaid of the Second part.
Witnesseth, That for and in Consideration of the sum
of Seventy five dollars to him in hand paid, at and
before the sealing and delivery hereof, the receipt whereof
is hereby acknowledged the said party of the first part hath
bargained Sold, given, granted and conveyed, and by these
presents doth so bargain, Sell, give, grant and convey unto
the said party of the second part, all that certain parcel or
lot of Land Situate in the Village of Micanopy State and
County aforesaid and known and described as follows
That is to Say ~ begining four feet from the south East Cor-
ner of the Office owned by Jno G. Polhill, and occupied at
this time by Payne & Polhill as a Medical office and run-
-ning south fronting on the public Square forty nine feet
Thence west one hundred to the lot on which Jno H. Cosby
resides Thence north forty nine feet, Thence one hundred to
the point of begining. To have and to hold the afore gran
-ted premises, together with all and singular the appurte-
nances thereunto attaching, and all the Estate title and
interest of the party of the first part therein, or to the same
in any wise appertaining or belonging unto the said
party of the second part, his heirs and assigns in fee sim-
ple forever and the said party of the first part doth here
