Alachua County   } Know all men by these presents that I
J.M. Hendry of the first part of the County and State aforesaid
have this day granted / bargained sold, released & conveyed unto John
Penney of the County & State aforesaid, of the second part,
one acre lot known as No 24 according to survey of East
Florida Seminary land, for the sum of one hundred dollars
to me in hand paid the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged, and
I the said J.M. Hendry of the second part, do hereby sell,
release & convey unto the said John Penney his heirs and assigns
all the right, title, and interest in said land, furthermore I
the said J.M. Hendry bind my self, my heirs and assigns, to
warrant and defend the right and title of the same against all
other claims for ever, In Witness whereof, I hereunto
set my hand and affix my seal this 12th day of December
1853,

Alachua County   } Know all men by these presents that I John
Kitler in the County and State aforesaid in consideration of
five hundred dollars paid to me by John Ponds of the County
and State aforesaid, the receipt whereof, is hereby acknowledged;
do hereby give, grant, bargain, sell and convey unto the said
John Ponds, his heirs and assigns, a certain tract or parcel of
land, with the buildings thereon, and all the privileges and
appurtinances to the same belonging, and situated in said
County and bounded and described as follows, Section seven Town=
=ship nine, Range twenty one, containing Six hundred and twenty
three acres, and 40/100 of an acre, To have and to hold the
above granted premises to the said John Ponds to his heirs
and assigns, to his and their use, and behoof, for ever,
And I the said John Kitler, for my self, my heirs, Executors and 
administrators, do covenant with the said John Ponds, his heirs
and assigns, that I am lawfully seized in fee simple of the afore=
=granted premises, that they are free from all encumbrances, that
I have good right to sell and convey the same to the said John
Ponds, his heirs and assigns as aforesaid, and that I will, and my
heirs, Executors and administrators, shall warrant and defend the
same to the said John Ponds, his heirs and assigns for ever,
against the lawful claims and demands of all persons
