Alachua County } This Indenture made on the first day
of January, in the year of our Lord one thousand eight
hundred and fifty five, Between George B. Payne of
the vilage of Micanopy, State and County aforesaid, of the
first part, and James A. Stewart of the vilage of Micanopy
State and County aforesaid, of the second part, Witnesseth,
That for and in consideration of the sum of
dollars to me in hand paid, at and before the sealing and delivery
hereof, the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged, the said party
of the first part hath bargained, sold, given, granted, and
conveyed, and by these presents doth so bargain, sell, give,
grant and convey, unto the said party of the second part all
that certain hereditament parcel or lot of land, lying and being
situate in the vilage of Micanopy, State and County aforesaid,
and known and described as follows, That is to say, beginning
on the south side of the street bounding the south end of
what is known as the public square, at the north west
corner of the Lot now belonging to William Edwards, thence south
along the western boundry of said Edwards Lot, to the south
line of Section twenty six, of Township eleven, south of range
twenty east, of the Arredondo Grant, thence west along said
southern boundary of said section, one hundred and fifty, thence
north to said street aforementioned, thence east along the
south side of said street, one hundred and fifty feet, to
the place of beginning, and containing more or
less, being part of Section twenty six, of township eleven
south of Range twenty east, of the Arredondo grant, To have
and to hold the aforegranted premises, with all and singular
the appurtenances, and all the Estate, title and interest,
of the said party of the first part therein, or to the same
in any wise appertaining or belonging, unto the said party
of the second part, his heirs and assigns in fee simple, forever,
and the said party of the first part doth hereby covenant and
with the said party of the second part, that at the time
of the delivery of these presents, the said party of the first
is the lawful owner of the premises aforegranted that he is seized
thereof in fee simple absolute, and that he will, and his heirs

granted premises, in the quiet and peaceable possession of the said |
