Know all men by these presents, that we
William Edwards, George B. Payne & George W. Means,
are held and firmly bound unto James E. Broome
Governor of the State of Florida, or his Successors
in office, in the full Sum of five hundred dollars
for the payment of which, well and truly to be made
we do hereby bind our Selves, our heirs, executors and admin
=istrators, Jointly and Severally, firmly by these presents
Sealed with our seals and dated this 23rd day of March
A.D. 1855. The condition of the above obligation is
Such, that whereas the above bound William Edwards
was on the twent 20th day of February A.D. 1855, duly
appointed Auctioneer for the County of Alachua in
State. Now if the Said William Edwards Shall well
and truly perform all the duties of said office as prescribed
by law, then this obligation to be void, else to remain in
full force and virtue
