Cynthia J. Waits To Washington H. Tillis
"Deed"
State of Florida } Know all men by these presents that I Cynthia
Alachua County } J. Waits and my husband Calvin Waits of the aforesaid
County and State for and in consideration of the sum of one hundred and
fifty dollars to us in hand paid by Washington H. Tillis and his wife
Josephine E. Tillis of the County of Alachua in the State of Florida the
receipt whereof we do hereby acknowledge have granted bargained sold and
conveyed and by these presents do grant bargain sell and convey unto
the said Washington H. Tillis and Josephine E. Tillis all of that
certain lot piece tract or parcel of land situated lying and being
in the County of Alachua in the State of Florida particularly known
and described as follows to wit: Lots nine (9) and eleven (11) in Block
three (3) in Waits crossing incorporated in the Town of Hawthorn (on the
corner of Center & Boundary Streets) (Washington H. Tillis and Josephine Tillis
bind themselves their heirs and assigns forever not to keep or allow to
be kept on said lots intoxicating liquors for sale failing to comply
with this obligation will make this deed annulled) Together with
all and singular the tenements hereditaments and appurtenances to the
same belonging or in anywise appertaining. To have and Hold the same
unto the said Washington H. Tillis and Josephine E. Tillis and to their
heirs executors administrators and assigns in fee simple and
absolute And we the said Cynthia J. Waits and Calvin Waits do
hereby covenant and agree to and with the said Washington H. Tillis
and Josephine E. Tillis that we are lawfully seized in fee of the
property herein and hereby conveyed; and that we have good and lawful
right to sell and convey the same; that the same is free from all
encumbrances of any kind whatsoever and that we will and our heirs
executors and administrators shall and will forever warrant and defend
the same unto the said Washington H. Tillis and Josephine E. Tillis
and to their heirs executors administrators and assigns against the
lawful claims and demands of any and all persons whomsoever
have hereunto set our hands and affixed our seals on this 6th
day of February AD 1882
