         P.E. Smith To John C. Ley
                      Deed
 State of Florida } This Indenture made on the 1st day of January in
 Alachua County   } the Year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred
and seventy Two between Patience E. Smith Jas Watson Smith Wm Smith
Mary C. Smith & David P. Newsom of the first part and John C. Ley
of the second part Witnesseth That for and in consideration of the
sum of one hundred & fifty Dollars to them in hand paid at and
before the sealing and deliver of these presents the receipt whereof is
hereby acknowledged the said parties of the first part have given
granted bargained sold and conveyed and by these presents does
so give grant bargain sell and convey to the said party of the
second part the following described parcels of land or town lots
situate in the village of Micanopy. To Wit: Lots two & three of Towns=
ship four & Range Five & lots one & Four of Township Four & Range six
according to a survey of the same by Joel B. Smith deceased during
his life time and containing four acres of land more or less exclusive
of the Streets and alley situate in the Village of Micanopy in what
is known as the Micanopy Section of land in the County & State
aforesaid. To Have and To Hold the above mentioned & convey premises
to the said party of the second part his heirs Executors or administrators 
& assigns in fee simple forever together with all and singular the
houses buildings improvements and appurtenances to the same belonging
or in any wise appertaining And the said parties of the first part covenant
and agree with the said party of the second part his heirs and
assigns that they are seized in fee of the premises aforesaid that
they are free from all encumbrances that they have good right
to sell and convey the same to the said party of the second part and
that they warrant & defend the same against all persons claiming or to
claim through or under them. In Witness Whereof the said parties of the
first party have hereunto set their hands and affixed their seals
on the day and year first above written
