"Deed"
State of Texas } Know all men by these presents that I Hiram R. Smith
Tarrant County } (formerly of Gainesville Fla) Now of the aforesaid County and State
for and in consideration of the sum of Five Hundred dollars to me in hand paid
by E.C.F. Sanchez and R.F. Taylor of the County of Alachua in the State of Florida
the receipt whereof I do hereby acknowledge have granted bargained sold and
conveyed and by these presents do grant bargain sell and convey unto them the
said E.C.F. Sanchez and R.F. Taylor of the County of Alachua in the State
of Florida the receipt whereof I do hereby acknowledge have granted bargained
sold and conveyed and by these presents do grant bargain sell and convey
unto them the said E.C.F. Sanchez and R.F. Taylor all of that certain lot piece
tract or parcel of land situated lying and being in the County of Alachua in the State
of Florida particularly known and described as follows to wit: That Lot or parcel of
land located in the Town of Gainesville Florida and particularly known and described
as being the south half of Lot or Block No Eleven (11) in "Browns addition" to the
Town of Gainesville lying and being in the North West quarter of Section No Five
(5) in Township Ten (10) South of Range Twenty (20) East containing Five (5) acres
less fifteen (15) feet off of each of the East and West sides thereof reserved for
Streets being being the same property heretofore conveyed to me the said
Hiram R. Smith by Thos C. Ellis as agent for Jane E. and John W. Baten
containing by estimation Five (5) acres of land more or less. Together with all
and singular the tenements hereditaments and appurtenances to the same
belonging or in anywise appertaining To Have and Hold the same unto
them the said E.C.F. Sanchez and R. Fenwick Taylor and to their heirs
executors administrators and assigns in fee simple and absolute. And I, the
said Hiram R. Smith do hereby covenant and agree to and with the said
E.C.F. Sanchez and R.F. Taylor that I am lawfully seized in fee of the property
herein and hereby conveyed; and that I have good and lawful right to sell
and convey the same that the same is free from all encumbrances of any
kind whatsoever and that I will and my heirs executors and administrators
shall and will forever warrant and defend the same unto them the said E.C.
F. Sanchez and R.F. Taylor and to their heirs executors administrators and
assigns against the lawful claims and demands of any and all persons
whomsoever now claiming or hereafter to claim the same. In Witness Whereof
I have hereunto set my hand and affixed my seal on this 22 day of
February AD 1882
