from the west corner of said Grant; thence North seventy one degrees and forty
five minutes East forty one chains and thirty four links to a point two Hundred
and nine feet from the North East boundary line of said Grant; thence South
Easterly in a straight line parallel to the North East boundary of said
Grant One Hundred chains to the original point of departure saving and
excepting a tract containing One Hundred and Twenty acres heretofore Sold
to the Wilson Brothers; the tract hereby sold and conveyed containing Two Hundred
and Eighty Five acres more or less. Together with all and singular the 
tenements hereditaments and appurtenances to the same belonging or in
anywise appertaining - To have and to hold the same unto the said Annie L.
Barton and to her heirs executors administrators and assigns in fee simple and
absolute And I the said John L. Barton do hereby covenant and agree to and
with the said Annie L. Barton that I am lawfully seized in fee of the
property herein and hereby conveyed and that I have good and lawful right
to sell and convey the same that the same is free from all encumbrances of any
kind whatsoever and that we will and our heirs executors and administrators
shall and will forever warrant and defend the same unto her the said
Annie L. Barton and to her heirs executors administrators and assigns
against the lawful claims and demands of any and all persons whomsoever
now claiming or hereafter to claim the same. In Witness whereof I John L.
Barton and I Josephine Barton his wife in token of my relinquishment of
all of my right whether of dower Homestead or of any right or claim of any
kind or nature whatever in or to said described and conveyed land
have hereto set our hands and affixed our seals on this the twelfth day
of December in the Year of our Lord 1881

Chautauqua County } Before me personally appeared John L. Barton
and Josephine Barton his wife personally known to me to be the
identical grantors mentioned in and who signed the within deed who
upon being duly sworn separately and severally acknowledged that
they executed the within and foregoing deed of Conveyance for the
purposes therein mentioned and expressed and that the same is their free
act and deed

known to me to be the wife of John L. Barton the Grantor in the

separate and apart from her said husband says and acknowledges
before me that she signed the said deed of conveyance for the
