       Mrs M.E. Adams To A.J. Hines
                     "Deed"
This Indenture made the 22nd day of April AD 1882 between Mrs
M.E. Adams and T.J. Adams her husband (who Joins in this deed for
the purpose of ratifying and confirming the act of his said wife) of
the County of Butler in the State of Alabama of the first part and 
A.J. Hines of Alachua County in the State of Florida of the second
part Witnesseth: That the said parties of the first part for and in
consideration of the sum Thirteen Hundred and ninety ($139000) dollars
to them paid by the said party of the second part the receipt
whereof is hereby acknowledged have granted bargained sold and
conveyed and by these presents do grant bargain sell and convey
unto the said party of the second part all those certain lots
tracts pieces or parcels of land lying and being situate in Alachua
County in the State of Florida and in the South half of Fractional
section (7) in Township Ten (10) South Range Twenty East and particularly
designated upon a Map of a portion of said South half of said
fractional Section Seven (7) drawn by P.H. Young and "recorded July 20th
1880 in Deed Book "L" at page 805" of the public records of said County of
Alachua as Lots numbers one (1) Four (4) and Five (5) said Lots
being bounded as follows to wit: Beginning at the point on the Western boundary
line of the "D.L. Clinch Grant" is intersected by the half mile line
running East and West through the centre of said fractional section
seven (7) and running thence South Four and Three quarters (4 3/4) degrees
West Twenty three (23) chains and Seventy (70) links Thence West
Twelve (12) chains and Ninety (90) links Thence North Four and
Three quarters (4 3/4) degrees East Twenty three (23) chains and 
Seventy (70) Links, Thence East Twelve (12) chains and Ninety
(90) links to the point of beginning containing by estimation
Thirty (30) acres and Fifty seven one hundredths (57/100) of an acre of
land more or less. To Have and To Hold unto the said party of
the second part and to his heirs executors administrators and
assigns forever in fee simple absolute. Together with all the rights
privileges and appurtenances thereunto belonging or in anywise
appertaining and the said parties of the first part do hereby
covenant and agree with the said party of the second part that
they are lawfully seized in fee of the property hereby conveyed and
that they have good and lawful right to sell and convey the same
that the same is free from all encumbrances of any kind whatsoever
and that they will and their heirs executors and administrators shall
and will forever warrant and defend the same unto the said party
of the second part and to his heirs executors and administrators
and assigns against the lawful claims and demands of any and
all persons whomsoever now claiming and hereafter to claim the same
In Witness Whereof the said parties of the first part have hereunto
set their hands and affixed their seals the day and year first above
written.
