"Deed"
State of Florida } Know all men by these presents that we Merritt
County of Alachua } L. Wood and Adelia M. Wood of the State and
County aforesaid for and in consideration of the sum of Two Hundred
(200) dollars to us in hand paid the receipt whereof we do hereby
acknowledge have granted bargained sold and conveyed and by these
presents do grant bargain sell and convey unto Laura G. French of
the aforesaid State and County the following described land: That
certain piece parcel or tract of land contained within the
following boundaries commencing at a point on the Eastern
boundary of lot Sixty of the Leitner Lands five (5) chains and
seventy five links (75 links) North from the southeastern corner of said
lot running thence westward on a line parallel to the southern
boundary of said lot Sixty (60) to the western boundary of said
lot Thence north nine (9) chains and fifty eight (58) links
along said western boundary: Thence eastward on a line
parallel to the southern boundary of said lot Sixty (60) to the
Eastern boundary of said lot Thence southward nine chains (9)
and fifty eight (58) links along set eastern boundary to the
point of beginning and containing twenty five (25) acres of land
and water more or less situated lying and being in the State of
Florida and County of Alachua and located in the above
described part of that lot which is designated upon a map or
plat of the Leitner Lands as they are popularly known as lot
Sixty (60) said map or plat having been made and drawn by
W.C. Miller and recorded August 29th 1877 on page 645 of Deed Book
"J" of the records in the office of the Clerk of the Circuit Court of
the County of Alachua and State of Florida. To have and to hold
the same to her the said Laura G. French her heirs executors
administrators and assigns in fee simple forever. In Witness whereof
we have hereunto set our hands and affixed our seals this 27th day
of March AD one thousand eight hundred and Eighty two
