Merritt and Ella F. Merritt his wife and acknowledged that they executed
the foregoing deed for the purpose of conveying the land therein described
to said Bullard & Stewart and R.B. Weeks & Sons and the said Ella F. Merritt
upon an examination made by me separate and apart from her husband
acknowledges that she made herself a party to said conveyance for the
purpose of relinquishing all dower and right of Dower in the lands therein
mentioned and that she did so freely and voluntarily and without any
fear constraint or compulsion from her said husband

This Indenture made and entered into on this the Twenty eighth (28th) day 
of January AD Eighteen hundred and Seventy four (1874) between G.W.A McRea
& Francis McRea his wife parties of the first part and Thomas
Hicks of Alachua County Florida party of the second part:
Witnesseth that the parties of the first part for and in consideration
of the sum of Six hundred dollars lawful money to them in hand
paid at or before the ensealing and delivery of these presents by the
party of the second part the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged
have bargained and sold and by these presents do bargain and sell grant
covenant & convey unto the party of the second part & to his heirs and
assigns forever in fee simple absolute all that certain tract or parcel of
land lying in the County of Alachua & State of Florida & more particularly
known and described on the maps of Public survey as The South half of the
North East Quarter of section No (25) Twenty Five in Town No (9) nine
Range (22) Twenty Two East containing seventy nine & Sixty three one
hundredths (79 63/100) acres more or less and all that part of lots No (9)
nine lying North of the Branch dividing Lots No 8 and 9 Eight &
nine and the West half of the South East Quarter and the North
East Quarter of the North East Quarter of section Twenty Five (25) in
