Saml L. Smith to Alpha B. Snovelley
                  "Deed"
State of Florida } Know all men by these presents that we
Alachua County   } Samuel L. Smith and Dora E. Smith his
wife of the aforesaid County and State for and in consideration
of the sum of - dollars to us in hand paid by Alpha B. Snavelley
of the County of Wabash in the State of Indiana the receipt 
whereof we do hereby acknowledge have granted bargained sold and
conveyed and by these presents do grant bargain sell and convey unto
him the said Alpha B. Snavelley all of that certain lot piece
tract or parcel of land Situated lying and being in the County
of Alachua in the State of Florida particularly known and described
as follows to wit: The undivided one half of the North half of section
Number Sixteen Township Eleven South of Range Number Eighteen
East (Undivided 1/2 N1/2 Sec 16 Tp11 S R 18E) containing by estimation
160 acres of land more or less. Together with all and singular
the tenements hereditaments and appurtenances to the same
belonging or in any wise appertaining To Have and Hold the
same unto him the said Alpha B. Snavelley and to his
heirs executors administrators and assigns in fee simple and
absolute and we the said Samuel L. Smith and Dora E. Smith do
hereby covenant and agree to and with the said Alpha B. Snavelley
that we are lawfully seized in fee of the property herein and
hereby conveyed and that we have good and lawful right to
sell and convey the same that the same is free from all encumbrances
of any kind whatsoever and that we will and our heirs executors
administrators shall and will forever warrant and defend the same
unto him the said Alpha B. Snavelley and to his heirs executors
administrators and assigns against the lawful claims and demands of
any and all persons whomsoever now claiming or hereafter to claim
the same. In Witness Whereof we have hereunto set our hands
and affixed our seals on this day of May 16th AD 1882

Alachua County   } I hereby certify that on this 16th day of May AD 1882
before me me personally appeared Mrs Dora E. Smith wife of Samuel
L. Smith the grantor in the foregoing conveyance who being first
duly questioned and examined by me separate and apart from her said
husband says and acknowledges before me that she did sign the
said deed of conveyance for the purpose of releasing relinquishing and
announcing all of her right of Dower in and to the land in said deed
described and that said relinquishment and renunciation of Dower
was done and made by her freely and voluntarily and without
any compulsion constraint apprehension or fear of or from her said
husband.
