of the first part and Chas A. McEuen of said City and district
of the second part Witnesseth, That the said party of the first part for and
in consideration of the sum of Twelve Hundred dollars ($120000) in lawful
money of the United States, to him in hand paid by the said party of the
second part at and before the sealing and delivery of these presents
the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged hath granted bargained sold
aliened enfeoffed released and conveyed and doth by these presents
grant bargain sell alien enfeoff release and convey unto the said
party of the second part his heirs and assigns forever all those
certain pieces or parcels of ground situate and lying and being
in the County of Alachua in the State of Florida to wit: Lots
numbered one (1) Two (2) Three (3) and Four (4) in Block Three (3) Range
Sixteen (16) also lots one (1) Two (2) Three (3) and Four (4) in Block Three
(3) Range Seventeen (17); Also lots one (1) Two (2) Three (3) and Four (4)
in Block Three (3) Range Eighteen (18); Also lots one (1) Two (2) Three
(3) and Four (4) in Block Two (2) Range Twenty one (21) containing
four (4) acres of land (being 1/4 acre lots) all in Section Thirty three
(33) township Nine (9) Range Twenty (20) known as Elliot and L
Engle's addition to the town of Gainesville Florida Surveyed by
John S. Banks August 26th 1874 and duly recorded among the land
Records of said County. Together with all the improvements ways
easements rights privileges and appurtenances to the same belonging
or in any wise appertaining and all the remainders reversions
rents issues and profits thereof; and all the estate right title
interest claim and demand either at law or in equity or otherwise
however of the said party of the first part of in to or out of
the said pieces or parcels of ground and premises. To Have and To
Hold the said pieces or parcels of ground and premises and
appurtenances unto the said party of the second part his heirs
and assigns to his and their sole use benefit and behoof forever
And the said John Pettibone for himself and for his heirs
executors and administrators doth hereby covenant promise and
agree to and with the said party of the second part his heirs
and assigns that he the said party of the first part and his
heirs shall and will warrant and forever defend the said pieces
or parcels of ground and premises and appurtenances unto the
said party of the second part his heirs and assigns from and
against the claims of all persons claiming or to claim the same
or any part hereof by from under or through him them or either
of them excepting taxes now due. And further that he the said
party of the first part and his heirs shall and will at any
and at all times hereafter upon the request and at the cost
of the said party of the second part his heirs or assigns make
and execute all such other deed or deeds or other assurances in
law for the more certain and effectual conveyance of the said
pieces or parcels of ground and premises and appurtenances
unto the said party of the second part his heirs or assigns
or his or their counsel learned in the law shall advise devise or
