Alachua County   } This Deed made this the third
day of July AD 1882 from William Edwards a commissioner
to E.D. Barnett of the County of Alachua and State of
Florida, = Witnesseth, That under and by virtue of an
order made and rendered by the Hon J.C. Gardner Esq
as the County Judge and Judge of Probate of Alachua
County Florida on the 30th day of May AD 1881. In
the matter of the Estate of R.S. Stoughton, deceased, late
of said County appointing me the said William Edwards
as commissioner to sell the lands, situated in said Alachua
County belonging to said Estate, to wit: N1/2 of Sec 26, T11 S,
of Range 20 of Arredondo Grant, containing by intimation 
80 acres in the Town of Micanopy and bounded as follows:
on the south by the Lots owned by Wm Edwards, G.R. Fairbanks
W.M. Knox Mrs S. Knox & H.D. Wagoner, on the East by lands
owned by B.W. Powell also a Lot in said town containing
a small store House and one small vacant lot in said
Town of Micanopy and whereas I did advertise the same
and the day and place of sale in the Newspaper pub-
-lished in the Town of Gainesville in said County, known as
the Alachua Advocate for the space of four weeks prior to
the third day of July AD 1882, And did on said third
day of July sell the said property at public outcry before
the Court House door in said Town of Gainesville, at which
sale the said E.D. Barnett, being the highest and best
bidder on said lands the same was knocked down to
him and he became the purchaser at and for the price
of One Hundred and Twenty Six Dollars, And a report of
the said sale having been made by me to the Court
together with the oath required by law that neither I
or the administrator of said Estate were directly or indi-
-rectly the purchasers of the same and it being shown by
me to the court, that all of the requirements of the order
of sale were complied with as will appear by the order
confirming the sale to the said E.D. Barnett and direct-
-ing a Deed to be executed by me as commissioner to him
upon his compliance with the terms of sale which order
is on file and of record in the office of the County Judge
of said Alachua County
Now, Therefore I the said William Edwards as com-
-missioner aforesaid in consideration of the premises
and by virtue of the last mentioned order the said
E.D. Barnett having complied with the terms of the
sale, which were cash down at time of sale and the
