Alachua County   } Know all men by these presents that
I Mary E. Shuford of the aforesaid County and State for
and in consideration of the sum of one hundred Dollars
to me in hand paid by Martha Adams of the County of
Alachua in the State of Florida, the receipt whereof I
do hereby acknowledge, have granted, bargained, sold and
conveyed, and by these presents do grant, bargain, sell and
convey unto the said Martha Adams, all of that certain
lot, piece, tract or parcel of land situated, lying and being
in the County of Alachua, in the State of Florida, particularly
known and described as follows, to wit: SW1/4 of SW1/4 Sec 12,
T8 R19 containing by estimation 40 acres of land more or
less. Together with all and singular the tenements hereditam-
ents and appurtenances to the same belonging or in anywise
appertaining, To have and to hold the same unto the said
Martha Adams, and to her heirs executors administrators
and assigns, in fee simple absolute, And the said Mary
E. Shuford do hereby covenant and agree to and with the
said Martha Adams that she is lawfully seized in fee of the
property herein and hereby conveyed, and that I have good
and lawful right to sell and convey the same, that the same
is free of all encumbrances of any kind whatsoever,
and that I will and my heirs executors and administrators 
shall and will forever warrant and defend the same unto
the said Martha Adams and to her heirs executors and
administrators and assigns, against the lawful claims
and demands of any and all persons whomsoever now
