N.C. Brown  To Mrs O.C. Colclough

State of Florida}
Alachua County  }  Know all men by these presents
That whereas Peyton Burnet and N.C. Brown of the
above State and County is indebted to Mrs O.C. Colclough
of the same State and County in the sum of Three Hundred
and one 75/100 Dollars which sum is covenanted to be paid by
our certain promisory Note bearing date February 18th
1882 and for the said sum of Three Hundred and one 75/100
Dollars, bearing interest at the rate of 12 per ct per annum
  Now therefore to better secure the payment of said Note
and interest as expressed therein we do by these presents
grant bargain sell and convey unto the said Mrs O.C.
Colclough heirs and assigns all my right title interest,
and claim of in and to all the crops of whatsoever species
kind or description now growing or which may hereafter be pla-
-nted, grown or gathered by me for my benefit on or off of
any and all lands rented from Mrs O.C. Colclough in Al-
-achua County Florida, also the following described pr-
-operty, to wit: One Two Horse Wagon One Grey Stallion
called Dicey One Iron Grey Mule called Sidney  One
mare Mule called Kate,  To have and to hold all and
Singular the crops lands and personal property above
bargained and sold unto the said Mrs O.C. Colclough
heirs executors administrators and assigns forever prove-
never the less that if the said Peyton Burnet & N.C. Brown
should well and truly pay or cause to be paid unto the 
said Mrs O.C. Colclough the full amount of said Note
together with the interest, according to its tenor and ef-
-fect, then this instrument to be void, else to remain
in full force and virtue, And it is hereby further agreed
that should it become necessary to enforce this instru-
ment by legal proceedings the said Peyton Burnett &
N.C. Brown will pay therefor all attorneys fees charges
and expenses, In witness whereof we have hereunto set
our hands and seals this 18th day of February AD 1882
