Alachua County   } On  this day personally appeared before me Peter Hodge
to me well known as the person described in and who executed the within
mortgage and acknowledged that he executed the same for the purpose
therein expressed and Martha Hodge wife of said Peter Hodge also
appeared before me and acknowledged the she signed the same without any
constraint or fear from her husband and that she does hereby relinquish
her dower and waive the benefit of the homestead laws of the State of
Florida in the within mortgaged land whereupon it is prayed that the
same may be recorded. Witness my hand and seal this the 2nd day of

    S.A. Stewart to Mary S. Sheats
                "Release of Mortgage"
State of Florida } Whereas J.B. Brown did on the 7th day of July 1877
Marion County    } did make execute and deliver to R.A. Stewart his
certain Indenture of Mortgage on certain real estate in which was embraced
the following described property to wit:- That Lot or tract of land Situated
lying and being in the Town of Gainesville in Alachua County Florida and
Known as Block No Seven (7) in Brushes addition to the said Town of Gainesville
being Four Hundred feet North and South and Two Hundred & Forty Five feet
East and West for the purpose of Securing an Indebtedness of Three
Thousand Dollars then due and owing by said J.B. Brown to the said
R.A. Stewart departed this life on or about the 18th day of September
AD 1879 leaving the undersigned his widow and only heir and did by
his last Will and Testament make me the sole Executor of his Estate
Now therefor know all men by these presents that I Sarah A.
Stewart as Executrix of & for the Estate of the said R.A. Stewart
deceased duly qualified and appointed as such Executrix by the
Probate Court in & for Marion County Florida in accordance with the
said Will of the said decedent and for and in consideration of the
premises contained in the Release of said Mortgage made by me on
the 14th of January AD 1880 and recorded in Mortgage Book "E"
of the Records of Alachua County Florida page 243 and in
consideration of the further sum of Ten Dollars to me in hand
paid paid by Mary S. Sheats doth hereby release and forever
quit-claim unto her the said Mary S. Sheats all claims Liens and
rights that I have or may have at law or in Equity of in and to or
over the said lands to wit Block Number Seven (&) in Brushe's
