Alachua County   } Know all men by these presents
That whereas Herbert M. Godfrey of the above State and
County is indebted to Jno C. Doolittle of the same State
and County in the sum of Seventy five dollars which
said Sum is covenanted to be paid by two certain prom-
issory notes bearing date February 1882 and for the said
sum of Seventy Five dollars bearing interest at the
rate of 10 per cent. Now therefore to better secure the
payment of said note and interest as expressed therein
I do by these presents grant bargain sell and Convey
unto the said Jno C. Doolittle his heirs and assigns
all my right title interest and claim of in and to
all the following described property to wit: South 1/2
of Lot No 23 (which lot is East 1/2 of North West 1/4 of the
South West 1/4 of Section 12, Township 9 South of Range
20 East} To have and to hold all lands and property
above bargained and sold unto the said John C.
Doolittle his heirs executors administrators and assigns
