Alachua County } This Indenture made and entered
into this the 17th day of April AD 1882 Witnesseth that
J.B. Doke in Consideration of the Sum of One hun-
dred and twenty five dollars already advanced by
and now due to the firm of Turner & Butler of
Levyville Levy County Florida by the said J.B. Doke
by my note the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged
and for the further Consideration of One dollar
in hand paid by these presents doth grant bar-
gain Sell and Convey unto the said firm of
Turner & Butler and to their heirs and assigns
all the right title interest and Claim of Mine the
said J.B. Doke my heirs executors and adminis-
trators of in and to three quarters of all the Crops of
Whatsoever species kind or description now growing
or which may hereafter at any time in the future
be planted grown or gathered by me or for me or for
my benefit on or off of any and all lands in Alachua
County Florida until the debt hereby Secured with interest is
fully paid also the following described property to
wit: One Rone mare Seven years old named "Nell"
One two horse waggon now in my possession and
this instrument is to have the full force and effect of
a Mortgage and of a lien under the provisions of Chapter
1739 Laws of Florida entitled an act to enable indigent
persons to obtain credit and to Secure the lender.
To have and to hold all and Singular the Crops and
personal property above bargained and sold unto
the said firm of Turner & Butler and to their heirs
executors administrators and assigns forever:
Provided Nevertheless that if the said J.B. Doke shall
well and truly pay or Cause to be paid unto the
said Turner and Butler the full amount of the
advances heretofore made with the Charges for Com-
missions and interest on the same then this obligation
to be void else to remain in full force & virtue
And this is hereby further agreed that all amounts
heretofore advanced are due and payable upon
delivery of the goods therefor and shall bear in-
terest accordingly and that this instrument
may be enforced at any time at the option
of the said Turner & Butler and it is further
agreed that should it become necessary to enforce
this instrument by legal proceedings the said
J.B. Doke will pay therefor all reasonable
