"Mortgage"
State of Florida }
Alachua County } This Indenture made this 24th
day of October AD 1881 between J.B. Martin and
L.M. Martin his wife of the first part and A.H.
and J. Cooper Mathers of the second part:
Witnesseth: That for and in Consideration of the
Sum of Four hundred and Fifty dollars and Fifty
Cents ($450 50/100) to the parties of the first part in
hand paid at and before the Signing and ensealing
of these presents the receipt whereof is hereby ac-
knowledged have given granted bargained Sold and
Conveyed and by these presents do give grant bargain
Sell and Convey unto the said parties of the second
part the following described property to wit: Lots
Nos Six (6) and fifteen (15) of the Letner Tract being
a part of the Arredondo Grant and situated lying
and being in Alachua County and Containing
Eighty (80) acres more or less. To have and to hold
the above granted premises with all the improvements
to the Same with all the right title and interest of
the parties of the first part therein or to the Same
in anywise appertaining or belonging to the said
parties in fee Simple forever.
Conditioned however that if the said parties of the
first part shall well and truly pay or cause to be
paid unto the said parties of the second part the
Sum of Four hundred and Fifty ($450.00) Dollars
and Fifty Cents in good and lawful money of
the United States on or before the 24th day of
October AD 1882 with all attorneys fees and Costs
of Collection that may ensue if legal means should
have to be taken to Collect this bond then this
obligation to be null and void else to remain in
full force and effect. In testimony whereof we
hereunto set our hands and affix our seals this the
24th day of October AD 1881

that he Saw J.B. Martin and L.M. Martin sign

and discharge of this Mortgage this March 29th 1884
