          "Mortgage"
I Ed Taylor and^ Hattie Taylor^ being indebted to Geo M.
Whetstone of Columbia County Florida for advances
made and to be made to enable me to plant and farm
in Alachua County during the year 1882. Now to Secure said
advances I hereby bargain Sell and deliver unto the said Geo
M. Whetstone his heirs and assigns forever all the crops of
what kind soever grown planted or cultivated by me or
which may hereafter at any time in the future be planted
grown or gathered by me or for me or for my benefit on or
off of any and all lands in Alachua County Florida until
the debt hereby secured with interest is fully paid also the
following described property to wit: 2 Mules 1 Sorrel horse
mule name Pete 1 Black mare mule name Jane Also
the tract of land I now live on beginning at a post in the
E Boundary line of the Adkinson Grant in T7.R18E run-
ning S 60° W Twenty Chains to a post then E Sixty Chains
to a post then N twenty Chains to the place of beginning
containing one hundred and twenty acres according
to Fairbanks deed: To have and to hold the above
