secutively from 1 to, 5500 (both inclusive}, all of which 5,500 bonds
are of the same tenor date and effect and are secured by a
deed of Trust or Mortgage dated February 1st, 1882, duly
executed and delivered by the said Company to the Union
Trust Company of New York as Trustee, Conveying the
railroad property and franchises therein described which
trust deed or mortgage provides for the exercise by the Trustee
of the power of entry and sale therein granted and Conferred
in the several cases of default therein specially provided for
whereto reference is hereby made. This bond is also entitled
to the benefit and security of a sinking fund of one
per Cent per annum payable on and after September
1st 1885 to be set apart and applied to the redemption
of said bonds as provided for in said deed of Trust or
Mortgage. This bond shall not become obligatory until
the certificate endorsed hereon shall have been duly
Signed by the Trustee.
In Witness Whereof the said Company has Caused its
Corporate seal to be hereunto affixed and the Same
to be attested by the Signature of its President and Sec-
retary this 1st day of February 1882 and has likewise
Caused a fac-Simile of the signature of its Treasurer to be
attached to each of the annexed Coupons.

This Bond may be registered in the owners name on the
Company's books in New York City, London or Amsterdam
such registration being noted on the bonds by the Companys
Transfer Agent after which no transfer shall be valid
unless made on the Companys books by the registered owner
and Similarly noted but the Same may be dis-
charged from registry by being transferred to bearer after
which it shall be transferable by delivery but it may again
be registered as before the registry of the bond shall not
restrain the negotiability of the Coupon by delivery ***ly.

"The Florida Trust and Peninsular Railroad Company
will pay to bearer on the 1st day of September 1882. Thirty
Dollars in U.S. gold Coin at its agency in New York City
being one-half years interest on its First Mortgage Bond
                                              Treasurer"
And Whereas the better to identify the said bonds as those
secured by these presents each bond has endorsed upon it
a Certificate to be signed by said Trustee before the Same
become obligatory on the Company which Certificate is
