Alachua County   } Before me personally appeared Mrs Mary E. Jeffords wife of
E.J. Jeffords who being first duly questioned and examined by me separate and
apart from her said husband says and acknowledges that she executed signed
sealed and delivered the foregoing Deed of Conveyance with her said husband for
the purpose of releasing & relinquishing all her right of Dower in & to the real
Estate in said deed described and that said release and relinquishment
of Dower was made and executed by her freely and voluntarily and without
any compulsion constraint apprehension or fear of or from her said husband

      J.P. Britt to J.H. Stokes
               "Mortgage"
State of Florida } Know all men by these presents that I J.H. Stokes of
Alachua County   } the County and State aforesaid have bargained and Sold
and by these presents do grant bargain and sell unto J.P. Britt of the
same place a one horse waggon for the sum of $5000 Fifty dollars to be
paid upon the following condition or terms of agreement to wit The
said J.T. Britt is to pay to the said J.H. Stokes $1500 Fifteen dollars on
or before the 1st day of March AD 1881 the balance being $3500 thirty five 
on or before the 15th fifteenth day of June AD 1881.
Now for a full and complete performance of this agreement on my
part I the said J.P. Britt have bargained and sold to the said
J.H. Stokes the one horse waggon aforesaid and also a dark brown or
bay mare named Lang to have and to hold as his own individual property
the said mare is about (8) eight years old & is my own individual
property in case I do not comply with the terms aforesaid signed Sealed
and delivered in presence of }            his

the written Mortgage is exended by mutual consent of both parties
to the 1st day of January AD 1883 and all additional advances either
