in money or goods on the part of J.H. Stokes shall be embraced in
this obligation and subject the mortgage property to the same at lawful

Fannie Haines and Irvin Haines to J.R. Crawford
"Mortgage"
State of Florida } Whereas we Fannie Haines and Irvin Haines
Alachua County } (her husband) are Justly indebted to J.R. Crawford
in the sum of One Hundred and Twenty five dollars which said
sum of money is covenanted to be paid by our certain promissory
note bearing even date herewith for the sum of one hundred and
twenty Five dollars payable the first day of January AD 1882
and whereas we are desirous of fully and better securing the payment
of said note and the sum of money mentioned therein, therefore
know all men by these presents that we Fannie Haines and
Irvin Haines for and in consideration of the premises and of the
sum of one dollar to us in hand paid have granted bargained
and sold and by these presents do grant bargain sell and convey
unto the said J.R. Crawford his heirs and assigns all the
following described piece parcel or tract of land to wit: Lying and
being in the Town of Gainesville State and County aforesaid and
more particularly described as follows commencing at the North West Corner
of Lot Four (4) as appears by plat of Martha D. Jackson's land made
by Richard Fuller and running East one hundred and Fifty seven
and a half feet to a Stake at the North East Corner of said Lot (4)
Four thence South along the Eastern line of said lot Four (4) Seventy
Eight feet and nine inches to a Stake thence West one Hundred
and fifty and a half (150 1/2) feet to a Stake on the western boundary
line of said lot Four (4) Thence along said Western boundary line
Seventy Eight feet and nine inches to a Stake. Also one Bay
horse one eyed named Pomp. Together with all and singular
