Alachua County   } I hereby certify that on the 19th day of Sept AD 1882
before me personally appeared Mrs Mary B. Waples wife of E.C. Waples the
grantor in the foregoing conveyance who being first duly questioned and
examined by me separate and apart from her said husband says and
acknowledges before me that she did sign the said conveyance for
the purpose of releasing relinquishing and renouncing all of her right of
separate Estate in and to the land in said conveyance described and
that said relinquishment and renunciation of Separate estate was done
and made by her voluntarily and without any compulsion constraint
apprehension or fear of or form her said husband

      J. Adger Clark to W.R. Penniman Jr
                    "Mortgage"
Know all men by these presents that whereas J. Adger Clark is Justly
indebted to Harriet Champion of the Town of Plainfield in the State of
New Jersey in the sum of One thousand Six Hundred and Fifty Dollars
as evidenced by his note under seal of even date with these presents and
due twelve months from date and whereas the said J. Adger Clark is
desirous of securing the said note. Now therefore for and in consideration
of the premises and in further consideration of the sum of Five
Dollars to him in hand paid by W.R. Penniman Jr of Ashville in
the State of North Carolina the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged
the said J. Adger Clark hath bargained and sold and by these
presents doth bargain sell and convey unto the said W.R. Penniman Jr
and his heirs all that piece or parcel of land lying and being
in the County of Alachua State of Florida and bounded as follows
to wit: Beginning at a post in the North line of the Orange
Grove tract 759 feet E from the NW corner of said tract and runs S
