Primus Young to Penelope L. Standley
"Mortgage"
State of Florida } Know all men by these presents That Whereas Primus
Alachua County } Young of the above State and County is indebted to
Penelope L. Standley of the same State and County in the sum of One
Hundred & Fifty dollars which said sum is covenanted to be paid by
two certain promissory notes bearing date January 14 1882 for $75 Each and
for the said sum of one Hundred & fifty dollars bearing interest at the
rate of 8 per cent per annum Now therefore to better secure the payment
of said notes and interest as expressed therein I do by these presents grant
bargain sell and convey unto the said Penelope L. Standley heirs and
assigns all my right title interest and claim of in and to all the crops
of whatsoever species kind or description now growing or which may
hereafter be planted grown or gathered by me or for me or for my
benefit on or off of any and all lands in Alachua County Florida
Also the following described property to wit: The South West quarter
of South East quarter of Section Eighteen (18) Township Eight (8)South
in Range (19) Nineteen East, less ten (10) Acres in a square form in the
South East Corner of Said Section. To Have and to Hold all and singular
the crops lands and personal property above bargained and sold unto
the said Penelope L. Standley her heirs executors administrators and
assigns forever. Provided nevertheless that if the said Primus Young should
well and truly pay or cause to be paid unto the said Penelope L.
