Standley the full amount of said note together with the interest
according to its tenor and effect then this instrument to be void else to
remain in full force and virtue And it is hereby further agreed that
should it become necessary to enforce this instrument by legal proceedings
the said Primus Young will pay therefore all attorney's fees charges and
expenses. In Witness Whereof I have hereunto set my hand and affixed
my seal this fourteenth (14) day of January AD 1882

    Charlotte E.F. Dumas to O.D. Morris
                   "Mortgage"
State of Florida } Know all men by these presents That whereas
Alachua County   } Charlotte E.F. Dumas of the above State and
County is indebted to O.D. Morris of the same State and County
in the sum of Three hundred & Fifty two 72/100 dollars which said
sum is covenanted to be paid by her certain promissory note bearing
date herewith and for the said sum of Three hundred and fifty
two 72/100 dollars bearing interest at the rate of ten per cent per annum
Now therefore to better secure the payment of said note and interest as
expressed therein I do by these presents grant bargain sell and convey unto
the said O.D. Morris heirs and assigns all my right title interest
and claim of in and to all the Crops of whatsoever species kind
or description Now growing or which may hereafter be planted
grown or gathered by Me or for Me or for My benefit on or off
of any and all lands in Alachua County Florida Also the following
described property towit: Known and described as being a part or portion
of the E1/2 of the W1/2 of Lot No (20) of Brushes Addition to the Town of
Gainesville: To Have and To Hold all and singular the Crops lands and
personal property above bargained and sold unto the said O.D. Morris
his heirs executors administrators and assigns forever Provided Nevertheless
that if the said Charlotte E.F. Dumas should well and truly pay or Cause
to be paid to the said O.D. Morris the full amount of said note

For value received I hereby acknowledge full and
complete satisfaction and cancellation of this Mortgage
    this 23d day of February 1885
