Lemuel L. Knight To Wade A. Geiger
"Mortgage"
State of Florida }
Alachua County } Know all men by these presents that
I Lemuel L. Knight and my wife Malinda F. Knight
of the County of Alachua and State of Florida for and
in Consideration of the sum of Fifty Dollars ($5000 to
me in hand paid by Wade A. Geiger Merchant of the
Town of Archer County and State aforesaid do sell and
Convey to the said Wade A. Geiger one mare and Colt
said Mare named Mandy, Sorrel blaze face and all
the growing Crop planted upon the Letheon Richardson
place rented by me and to be planted by during the
year Eighteen hundred and Eighty two of whatever kind
corn cotton potatoes &C. warranted free from any in-
cumbrances mortgages or liens and against any adverse
claims. Upon condition that if the said Lemuel L. Knight
and his wife Malinda F. Knight shall pay to the
said Wade A. Geiger merchant Fifty Dollars on
the first day of December AD 1882. Provided that until
the Condition of this instrument is broken the said
mare and Colt may remain in possession of the
said Lemuel L. Knight and wife but after Condition
broken, the said Wade A. Geiger merchant may at his
pleasure take possession of said mare and Colt
and remove the said Crop and he is hereby authorized
to enter into any building or premises of the said
Lemuel L. Knight and wife for that purpose.
In Testimony whereof we have hereunto affixed our
hands and seals this the 25th day of January AD
