Jackson Welch To G.K. Broome

State of Florida, Alachua County
Know all men by these presents, That whereas I Jackson
Welch of above State and County in the sum of Three
hundred & Eighty dollars lawful money of the United
States which said Sum is expressed in one Certain prom-
issory note bearing date 27th September 1882 and for
the said sum of Three hundred & Eighty dollars to-
gether with interest at___Now therefore to better secure said
G.K. Broome in full payment of said note and in-
terest as expressed. I do by these presents grant bargain
sell and Convey unto the said G.K. Broome his heirs and
assigns all my right title interest and claim of in and to
all the Crops of whatsoever species kind or description
now growing or which may hereafter be planted grown
or gathered by me or for me or for my benefit on or off of
any and all lands in Alachua County Florida. Also the
following described property, to wit one (1) Sorrel mare
white about each ankle 5 yrs old one (1) Roan filly 3 years
old also one (1) Roan Colt in his second year - also ten
head Cattle including oxen Swallow fork in one ear & under
bit on other Brand J.W. To have and to hold all and
Singular the Crops lands and personal property above bar-
gained and sold unto the said G.K. Broome his heirs
executors administrators and assigns forever. Provided
nevertheless that if the said Jackson Welch should
well and truly pay or Cause to be paid unto the said
G.K. Broome the full amount of said note together
with the interest according to its tenor and effect then
this instrument to be void else to remain in full force
and virtue. And it is hereby further agreed that should
it become necessary to enforce this instrument by legal
proceedings the said Jackson Welch will pay therefor
all attorneys fees charges and expenses.
In Witness Whereof I hereby set my hand and affix
my seal this 27th day of September AD 1882

of writing for the uses and purposes s therein

Secured by this Mortgage I hereby Cancel and discharge the Same
