 Jennie Richards  to Mary J. Hooper and Jas L. Denton
              "Mortgage"
 This indenture made the 23rd day of October in
the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred 
and eighty two between Jennie Richards party of 
the first part and Mrs. Mary J. Hooper and James L. 
Denton partys of the second part. Whereas the said 
Jennie Richards Spinster is justly indebted to Mrs.
Mary J. Hooper & James L. Denton of the second part 
in the sum of five hundred dollars lawful money of 
the United States of America for which she has given 
her promissary note, bearing even date with these pres
ents for the sum of five hundred dollars with interest
at fifteen percent per anuum payable due and pay
able two years from this date.  
Now this indenture witnesseth, that the said party of the
first part for the better securing the payment of the 
said sum of money mentioned in said promissary note 
as aforesaid and also for in consideration of the 
sum of five hundred dollars to her in hand paid by 
the said part of the second part at or before the ensealing 
and delivery of these presents this receipt which is hereby 
acknowledged has granted bargained sold aliened 
remised released conveyed and confirmed and by these 
presents does grant bargain sell alien remise release 
convey and confirm unto the said parties of the second 
part and their heirs and assigns from All of Lots 
one, two and three block eleven together with all 
the improvements thereon consisting of a large three-story 
building and out houses and better known and des
cribed as "The Sunny Side Hotel" situate and being in 
the town of Waldo Florida together with all and 
singular the tenements hereditaments and appurten
ances thereunto belonging, or in any wise appertain
ing and the reversion and reversions remainder and 
remainders rents issues and profits thereof, and also
all the estate right title interest, property posession 
claim and demand whatsoever as well in law as
