State of Florida }
Alachua County } This Indenture made and entered into
on this 12th day of October AD 1882 Between Feilding Lewis
Selden an Matilda L. Selden his wife are parties of
the first part and William Edwards party of the
Second part. Witnesseth that for and in Consideration
of the sum of one thousand five hundred and thirty
five 76/100 Dollars to the said parties of the first part
in hand ^paid^ at the time of executing this Indenture
by the said party of the second part the receipt where-
of is hereby acknowledged the said parties of the
first part hath bargained and sold and doth
hereby Convey unto the said party of the second
part all the following described parcels of land
known and described on a map or plot of the Leitner
Lands in Alachua County as made by Wm C. Miller
and known as Lots No Fifty one (51) Forty Seven (47) Forty
Eight (48) Thirty Three (33) and the North part of Lot No
Fifty Four (54) laying North of what is popularly Caled
Sawgrass bond and Waurerg Lake each of said lots
Containing Forty (40) acres of Land more or less except
No Fifty Four (54) from which above Ten (10) acres have
been Conveyed by Mess Matheson & McMillan as Trus-
tees to James B. Brown Laying South of Said Sawgrass
Pond all of said lots of land being parts of what
is Commonly known as the Leitner place Situated in
Alachua County and State of Florida in what is
known in the plats of the Arredondo grant as
Section No Nine (9) of the Moses E. Levy Grant and
Containing one hundred and Ninety acres more
or less with all the rights improvements and appur-
tenances thereunto belonging or in anywise appertaining
to have and to hold the above described and granted
premises and every part and parcel thereof to the said
party of the second part of the second part his heirs
executors or assigns in fee Simple forever.
Nevertheless with this express Condition and reservation
that if the parties of the first part shall well and truly
pay or cause to be paid their Certain Joint and Several
promissory note of even date herewith for the Sum of
One Thousand five hundred and Thirty five 76/100
Dollars with interest from this date at the rate of
10 per cent per annum and in Case of a suit having
to be brought to foreclose this Mortgage then all Costs
and expense so incurred then in that case this
Indenture and the said note heretofore described
