in one certain promissory note bearing date April
9th 1881 and for the Said Sum of Twenty Five
dollars together with interest at Five (5) per cent per month
now therefore to better secure said Benjamin Rush
in full payment of said note and interest as
expressed do by these presents grant bargain
Sell and Convey unto the said Benjamin Rush
his heirs and assigns all my rights title interest
and claim of in and to all the crops of
whatsoever Species kind or description now
growing or which may hereafter be planted grown
or gathered by me or for me or for my benefit on or
off of any and all lands in Alachua County Florida
Also the following described property to wit-
One Bay Mule (Mare Mule} about 8 years old and
known by the name of Mag being the same mule pur-
chased by me of Charley Hale of Alachua County
To have and to hold all and singular the crops
lands and personal property above bargained
and Sold unto the said Benjamin Rush his
heirs executors administrators and assigns for
ever Provided nevertheless that if the said Sett
Brown should well and truly pay or cause to
be paid unto the said Benjamin Rush the full
amount of such note together with the interest
according to its tenor and effect then this instrument
to be void else to remain in full force and Virtue
And it is hereby further agreed that should it become
necessary to enforce this instrument by legal pro-
ceedings the Said Sett Brown will pay therefor
all attorneys fees Charges and expenses
In witness whereof I hereunto set my hand and affix
my seal this Ninth (9th day of April AD 1881
