Mrs Mary E. Phillips and Zephania Phillips To H. Raulerson and George H. Ambrose
                           "Mortgage"
This Indenture made the ninth of December in the year of our 
Lord One thousand Eight hundred and Eighty two Between
Mrs Mary E. Phillips and Zephania Phillips her husband of
Alachua County Florida and H. Raulerson and George H.
Ambrose of County and State aforesaid of the Second part
whereas the said Mary E. Phillips and Z. Phillips justly
indebted to the Said Raulerson and Ambrose of the Second
part in the Sum of One hundred and Fifty Dollars lawful
money of the United States of America For which amount
they have this day given their promissory note due and
to be paid to Said Raulerson and Ambrose on the First
day of October next with interest at Eight per Cent
per annum
Now this Indenture witnesseth that the said parties of the 
first part for the better Securing the payment of the Said Sum
of money mentioned in the said promissory note and also
for and in Consideration of the Sum of one dollars to them
in hand paid by the said parties of the second part
at or before the ensealing and delivery of these presents the
receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged have granted bar-
gained sold aliened remised released Conveyed and Confirmed
and by these presents do grant bargain Sell alien remise
release Convey and Confirm unto the Said parties of
of the Second part and their heirs and assigns
forever. All that lot of land Situate lying and
being in the Town of Waldo Alachua County Florida
and described as follows Commencing at the South
west Corner of the North East quarter of section
Twenty Three (23) in Township Eight (T8) South
Ranges Twenty One East (R 21E) and running due east
