Alachua County } Whereas Mrs Julia Martin and
Edward Martin justly indebted to Julia R. Furman
in the sum of Three hundred dollars which said sum
of money is covenanted to be paid by three certain promissory
notes baring interest dates herewith one for the sum of
one Hundred dollars ($100) one for one hundred dollars
($100) one for one hundred dollars ($100) dollars the
purchase money for the land herein after described
and whereas being desirous of fully and better securing
the payment of said note, and the sum of money men-
tioned therein. Therefore know all men by these presents that
we Julia Martin and Edward Martin for and in consideration
of the premises and of the sum of one dollar to her in hand
paid have granted bargained and sold, and by these
presents do grant, bargain sell and convey unto the
said Julia R. Furman her heirs and assigns all the
following describe piece, parcel or tract of land to wit:
A lot of land lying and being situated in the town of
Gainesville in Alachua County Florida beginning at the point
in section four, Townsip (10) south of Range 20 East of
the Aradondo Grant where is a lot known as the steam
mill and owned by Daniel G. Anderson on its south boundary
intersects Sweet water Branch, thence west along the south
boundary of said steam mill lot to the Section line
thence south along said section line fifty (50 ft) feet, thence
east of the run of the middle of sweet water Branch to the
point of beginning Containing in all one acre more or less, and
also described as bounded on the north by ot of Geo W. Spears
on the east by sweet water Branch, on the south by lot of
estate of Spencer, in the west by Factory Street containing
by estimation one acre of land more or less Together with
all and singular the tenements hereditaments and appurtenances
thereunto belongin To have and to hold the same unto the
said Julia R. Furman in fee simple absolute forever Provided
however, and these presents are upon this express condition
that if the said Julia Martin and Edward Martin
heirs or assigns shall well and truly pay or cause
be paid the sum of Money covenanted to be paid by
said notes Together with the interest to accrue thereon accor-
ding to the legal tenor thereof, then this obligation shall
become null and void else to remain in full force and
virtue. And it is hereby further agreed and stipulated that
the said Julia Martin and Edward Martin will pay all
expenses, costs and attorneys fees which the said Julia R. Furman
may be put to in enforcing the collection of the aforesaid sum of
money covenanted to be pid by said notes by foreclosure
or otherwise
