    S.Y. Finley & Wife To Julia R. Furman
               "Mortgage"
   This indenture made the first day of December in the
year of our Lord one thousand Eight hundred and Eighty
two Between Samuel Y. Finley & his wife Julia D. Finley
of the State of Florida Alachua County the parties of
the first part and Mrs Julia R. Furman the party of
the second part in the sum of Eight Hundred dollars
good and lawful money of the United States of America
as evidenced by a certain promissory note bearing
even date with these presents made by the said Samuel
Y. Finley to the said Mrs Julia R. Furman said note
being given in consideration of the purchase of the
within described land and promises by the said S.Y.
Finley from the said Mrs Julia R. Furman
   Now this Indenture witnesseth, that the said parties
of the first part, for the better securing of the pay-
ment of the said sum of money mentioned in said
promissory note and also for and in consideration
of the sum of one dollar to them in hand paid
to the said party of the second part at or before
the ensealing and delivery of these presents the receipt
whereof is hereby acknowledged have granted granted
bargained sold aliened, remised released, conveyed and
confirmed and by these presents do grant bargain sell
alien remise release convey and confirm unto the said
party of the second part and to her heirs and assigns
forever; All that certain Lot or parcel of land situated
in the County of Alachua in the State of Florida par-
ticularly known and described as follows to wit: Lot
Number (4) Four of Block Number two Rang 4 lying
and being situated in the town of Gainesville County of
Alachua State of Florida particularly described according
to to the map of Ropers addition to said Town of
