W.W. Hampton & wife to S.A. Stringfellow

State of Florida }
Alachua County   } Whereas we William W. Hampton and
his wife Mary E. Hampton of the aforesaid County and State are
justly indebted to Mrs S.A. Stringfellow of the same place
in the sum of Five Hundred ($50000) dollars, which said sum
of money is covenanted to be paid by a certain promissory note
bearing even date herewith one for the sum of Five Hundred
dollars due one year after date given by the said Will-
iam W. Hampton for part purchase money for the said property
herein after described and payable to Mrs S.A. Slingfellow
or order with interest from the date thereof at the rate
of Ten per cent per annum and whereas we are desirous of
fully and better securing the payment of said note and
the sum of money mentioned therein. Therefore know all
Men by these presents that we William W. Hampton and
wife Mary E. Hampton for and in consideration of the
premises and for the sum of one dollar to us in hand
paid have granted bargained and sold and by these
do grant bargain sell and convey unto the said Mrs
S.A. Stringfellow and to her heirs and assigns all
the following described piece parcel or tract of land
to wit: All that certain Lot tract or parcel of land
situated lying and being in the Town of Gainesville
in Alachua County State Florida & known as the south
west quarter of Block (#5) number five of Bush's
Addition to the said town of Gainesville and more
particularly described as follows to wit: Beginning
for the same the same at the south west corner of said
