Block No 5 of said Bush's addition to said Town of
Gainesville as laid down on M.A. Williams Map of the same
on file in the Clerks office of Alachua County Florida and
running thence northerly (200) Two Hundred feet thence East
(103) One hundred and three feet: thence south (200) Two
Hundred feet: thence West (103) one Hundred and three feet:
to the point of beginning, containing by estimation one half
acre more or less, together with all and singular the
tenements hereditaments and appurtenances there unto belonging
To have and to hold the same unto the said Mrs S.A. Stringfellow
her heirs or assigns in fee simple absolute forever. Provided 
hoever and these presents are upon this express consideration
that if the said William W. Hampton his heirs or assigns
shall well and truly pay or cause to be paid the sum of
money covenanted to be paid by the said note together
with the interest to accrue thereon according to the legal tenor
thereof then this obligation shall be null and void else
to remain in full force and virtue and it is hereby further
agreed and stipulated that the said William W. Hampton
and Mary E. Hampton his wife will pay all expenses cost
and attorneys fees which the said Mrs S.A. Slingfellow
may be put to in enforcing the collection of the aforesaid sum
of money covenanted to be paid by said note by fore-
closure or otherwise. In witness whereof we have hereunto
set our hands and affixed our seals on this 5th day
of January AD 1883           }

Alachua County   } I hereby certify that on the 5th
day of January AD 1883, before me personally appeared
Mrs Mary E. Hampton wife of William W. Hampton the
grantor in the foregoing conveyance who being duly
questioned and examined by me, seperate and apart from
her said husband says and acknowledges before me
that she did sign the said conveyance for the purpose
of releasing, relinquishing and renouncing all of her right 
of dower in and to the land in said conveyance
described and that said relinquishment and renunciation
of dower was done and made by her voluntarily and without
any compulsion, constraint apprehension or fear of or
from her said husband.
