thereof then this obligation shall become null and void else to remain
in full force and virtue and it is hereby further agreed and stipulated
that the said Washington Chappel and his wife Emma Chappel will
pay all expenses costs and attorneys fees which the said Harriet Williams
may be put to in enforcing the collection of the aforesaid sum of money
covenanted to be paid by said note by foreclosure or otherwise

Decr AD 1882 before me personally appeared Mrs Emma Chappel
wife of Washington Chappel the grantor in foregoing conveyance
who being first duly questioned and examined by me separate and
apart from her said husband says and acknowledges before
me that she did sign the said conveyance for the purpose of
releasing relinquishing and renouncing all of her right of Dower in
and to the land in said conveyance described and that said
relinquishment and renunciation of Dower was done and made
by her voluntarily and with any compulsion constraint appre
hension or fear of or from her said husband.
