County of Alachua } On this day personally appeared
before me Abram Crosby & Richard Crosby to
me well known as the persons described in and
who executed the foregoing Mortgage Deed and ac-
knowledged that they executed the Same for the
purpose therein expressed: Wherefore it is prayed
that the Same may be recorded. In Witness Whereof
I have hereunto affixed my hand and seal this

   Thomas McDaneil To Sarah E. McCarroll
              "Mortgage"
State of Florida  }
County of Alachua } This Indenture made and entered
into on this the day of AD 1882 between Sarah E.
McCarroll party of the first part and Thomas
McDaniel party of the second part both of the
State of Florida and County of Alachua,
Witnesseth that the said Thomas McDaniel is justly
indebted to the said Sarah E. McCarroll in the Sum
of Seventy five dollars by note made payable to
Sarah E. McCarroll and due on the first day of
November AD 1882 with 10-prct interest from date
Now in Consideration of the premises^ and to secure the
payment of said note^ together with the Sum of
one dollar to me in hand paid before the sealing
and delivery of these presents I have granted bar-
gained and sold and by these presents doth grant
bargain and sell mortgage Convey and deliver unto
the said Sarah E. McCarroll one Certain Black
Stallion horse eight years old more or less ^and crop^
for her own proper use benefit and behoof forever
and I hereby covenant waive and renounce all
and every Constitutional right or privilege I may
have to said horse ^and crop^ both in law & Equity
to the said Sarah E. McCarroll & her heirs forever. The
