Alachua County   } Whereas I Levi Jones of the afore
said County and State together with Wm Jones and
B.J. Jones are jointly and severally indebted unto R.F. Taylor
and E.C.F. Sanchez as law partners doing business under
the firm name of Taylor and E.C.F. Sanchez in the
sum of one hundred dollars by our joint and
several promissory note dated the 11th day of January
AD 1883, and payable one day after the date thereof
And whereas I am desirous of fully securing the payment
of said promissory note Therefore the premises considered
Know all men by these presents that I the said Levi
Jones for and in consideration of the said sum of one
hundred dollars so due and owing by me as aforesaid
have granted bargained sold conveyed and mortgaged
and by these presents do grant bargain sell convey and
mortgage unto them the said Taylor & Sanchez all of
that certain piece or parcel of land situated lying
and being in Alachua County tate of Florida par-
ticularly known and described as being the South east
quarter of the North East quarter of section Thirty (30)
in Township Ten (10) south of Range Twenty two (22) East
Situate on the east side of Lochloosa Creek and con
taining Forty Acres More or less together with all
and singular the tenements hereditaments and app
urtenances to the same belonging or in anywise appertain
ing To have and to hold the same unto the said Taylor
& Sanchez and to their heirs executors administrators or
assigns forever. Provided always nevertheless and this
instrument is executed and delivered upon this express con-
dition that if the said promissory note for One Hundred
dollars shall be fully paid upon demand of the said
Taylor and Sanchez and all interest interest thereon
to accrue then the obligation to be wholly null and 
void else to remain in full force and virtue.

and seal this 16th day of January AD 1883.
