 H.W. Richard to Geo K. Broom
           "Mortgage"
   This Indenture made the ---- day of ----- in the year
of our Lord one thousand Eight Hundred and Eighty two
Between H.W. Richard and his wife Virginia Richard parties
of the first part and George K. Broome party of the
second part All of Alachua County State of Florida
whereas the said H.W. Richard party of the first
part is justly indebted to Geo K. Broome party of the second
part in the sum of Two Hundred and Fifty Dollars
lawful money of the United States of America which said
sum is Expressed in one certain promissory note made
by said H.W. Richard and in favor of said G.K.
Broome bearing date November 1st 1882 payable Twelve
months after date with interest at 12 pr ct pr annum
& said note endorsed H.C. Parker & G.M. Whetston
Now this Indenture Witnesseth that the said parties
of the first part for the better securing of the payment
