Alachua County   } Know all men by these presents
that whereas Sumpter Blanton of the above State and
County is indebted to Joseph M. Guinn of the same
State and County in the sum of Twenty five dollars
which said sum is covenanted to be paid by a certain
promissory note bearing date December 9th 1882 and for
the said sum of $25 dollars bearing interest at the rate
of 10 per cent Now therefore to better secure the payment
of said note and interest as expressed therein I do by
these presents grant bargain sell and convey unto the said
Joseph M. Guinn heirs and assigns all my right title
interest and claim of in and Also the following desc-
ribed property to wit. One Bay Mare 9 years old called
Rosa and one mare sorrel 3 years old called daisie
To have and to hold all and singular personal property
above bargained and sold unto the said Joseph M.
Guinn heirs executors and administrators and assigns
forever. Provided nevertheless that if the said Sumpter
Blanton should well and truly pay or cause to be paid
unto the said Joseph M. Guinn the full amount of said
note together with the interest according to its tenor
and effect then this instrument to be void else to remain
in full force and virtue And it is hereby further ag-
reed that should it become necessary to enforce this in-
strument by legal proceedings the said Sumpter Blanton
will pay therefor all attorneys fees charges and expenses
In witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and
