James T. Ferguson to Julia A. Exton
"Mortgage"
This Indenture made the 17th day of October in the
year of our Lord one Thousand Eight hundred and
Eighty two Between James T. Ferguson and his wife
Alice H. Ferguson of Alachua County Florida of the
first part and Mrs Julia A. Exton of High Bridge State
of New Jersey of the second part Whereas the said James
T. Ferguson is justly indebted to Mrs Julia A. Exton
of the second part in the sum of Five Hundred Dollars
lawful money of the United States of America For which
he has this day given his his promissory note bearing
date even with these presents for the aforesaid amount
of Five hundred Dollars due and to be paid to the afore
said Mrs Julia A. Exton Three years from date with
interest from date at eight per cent per annum Interest
to be paid annually. Now this indenture Witnessed that
the said parties of the first part for the better secur-
ing the payment of the said sum of money mentioned
in the said promissory note and also for and in
consideration of the sum of one Dollar to them in
hand paid by the said party of the second part
at or before the ensealing and delivery of these presents
the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged have grant
ed bargained sold aliened remised released conveyed
and confirmed and by these presents do grant bargain
sell alien remise release convey and confirm unto the
said party of the second part and her heirs and
assigns forever all that certain Lot of land in
the Town of Waldo Alachua County Florida and
known and described on the Public records as Lot
Number Two (2) Block six (6) in Brannings
Addition to the town of Waldo Together with
