Ernest Wells to Harriet Williams

Alachua County } Whereas Ernest Wells is justly
indebted to Harriet Williams in the sum of one Hundred and
twelve dollars which said sum of money is covenanted to
be paid by his certain promissory note bearing this even
date herewith one for the sum of one hundred and
twelve dollars and whereas he is desirous of fully and
better securing the payment of said note and the sum of
money mentioned therein Therefore know all men by these
presents that Earnest Wells for and in consideration of the
premises and for the sum of one dollar to him in hand
paid have granted bargained and sold and by these
presents do grant bargain sell and convey unto the
said Harriet Williams her heirs and assigns all the
following described to wit: One Yoke Oxen and Ox
Wagon. To have and to hold the same unto the
said Harriet Williams in fee simple absolute
forever Provided however and these presents are upon
this express condition that if the said Ernest Wells
will pay all expenses costs and attorneys fees which
the said Harriet Williams may be put to in enforcing the
collection of the aforesaid sum of money covenanted
to be paid by said note by foreclosure or otherwise
In witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and
affixed my seal on this 10th day of January AD 1883
