      Mitchell Ervin to Horace Tarbox
                  "Mortgage"
  Know all men by these Presents the Mitchel Ervin
of the County of Alachua and State of Florida
in consideration of One Hundred dollars to him
paid by Horace Tarbox The receipt hereof he
does hereby acknowledge has granted bargained and
sold and by these presents does grant bargain and
sell unto the said Horace Tarbox and assigns
the following goods and chattels to wit, Four cows
Two yearlings To Calves (Branded B.T.) also one
Black mare about seven years old also the crops
grown on the premises owned by the said Mitchel
Ervin for the year 1883 & 1884 To have and to hold
all and singular the said good and chattels
unto the said Horace Tarbox and his assigns to
his and their sole use and behoof forever and the said
