Twenty Two 31/100 Dollars by my promissory note for that amount
bearing date the Third day of February AD 1883 and payable
Three months after its date and the same bearing interest
from its date at the rate of one per centum per month - And
I, the said William V. Paschall being desirous of fully and
effectually securing the payment of said promissory note
Therefore the premises considered, Know all men by these pres-
ents that I the said William V. Paschall together with M.H. Pas-
chall his wife for and in consideration of the premises and
of the said sum of money so owing by the said William V.
Paschall as aforesaid have granted, bargained, sold aliened
conveyed and mortgaged and by these presents do grant bargain
sell alien convey and mortgage unto the said Corporation the
said "Florida Southern Railway Company" all of that Certain
Lot tract piece or parcel of land situated lying and being
in Alachua County in the State of Florida on, or near the line
of the Florida Southern Railway in the Railway station or
Town known as "Waits Crossing" the same being more particu-
larly described as being Lot No Two (2) of Block No One (1) in
the original map and plat of said Town of "Waits Crossing"-
Together with all and singular the tenements hereditaments
and appurtenances to the same belonging or in anywise
appertaining= To Have and to Hold the same unto the said
Corporation the said "Florida Southern Railway Company"
and its successors and assigns forever. Provided always
nevertheless and this instrument is executed and delivered
upon this expressed Condition that if I the said William
V. Paschall shall and do well and truly pay the full am-
ount of said promissory note for the sum of Five hundred and
Twenty Two 31/100 Dollars at the time and date the Same fall
due together with all interest thereon to accrue according to
its legal tenor and effect then this instrument to become
wholly null and void, otherwise to be and remain in full
force and virtue

AD 1883 before me in person appeared Mrs M.H. Paschall wife
of William V. Paschall both of them being to me well and
personally known and she being first duly questioned and

          This mortgage is paid and satisfied as
          appears by the endorsement of the sheriff on the
back of the Decree of Foreclosure this 25th day of February AD 1884
