Alachua County   } Be it remembered that on this
Twentieth day of February in the year of our Lord one thous-
and Eight hundred and Eighty Three before me Thos H. Fletcher
a Justice of the Peace in and for said County personally ap-
peared W.A. Porter who I am Satisfied is the grantor in
mentioned in the above deed or Conveyance and I having
first made known to him the Contents thereof acknowledged
that he signed sealed and delivered the same as his vol-
untary act and deed All of which is hereby Certified

  Geo H. Sutherland To W. Baily Tucker
                 "Mortgage"
This Indenture made the 21st day of February in the year
of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and Eighty three
between George H. Sutherland of the County of Alachua and
State of Florida and Maria Sutherland his wife parties of
the first part and W. Bailey Tucker of the City of Fer-
nandina County of Nassau and State of Florida of the
Second part. Whereas the said parties of the first part
are justly indebted to said W. Bailey Tucker party of the
Second part in the Sum of Seven hundred ($70000) dollars
lawful money of the United States of America That is to say
the note for Seven hundred dollars payable July the 31st
AD 1883 and bearing even date with these presents which note
bears interest at the rate of five per cent per annum and
being given for value received by the said parties of the first
part this day. Now this Indenture witnesseth that the said
parties of the first part for the better securing the payment
of the said Sum of money mentioned in the said note and
also for and in consideration of the Sum of one dollar to
them in hand paid by the said party of the second part at or
before the ensealing and delivery of these presents the receipt
whereof is hereby acknowledged have granted bargained
sold, aliened remised released Conveyed and Confirmed and
by these presents do grant bargain sell alien remise release
convey and Confirm unto the said party of the Second part and
to his heirs and assigns forever all that Certain piece or
parcel of land situate lying and being in the County of
Alachua and State of Florida and described as follows
Beginning at the South East Corner of the George M. Richardson
Tract of land running North Thirty (30) chains thence East
Ten (10) chains thence South Twenty and 3/4 (20 3/4) Chains: thence

For value received I to wit $711 37/100 Dollars cash I hereby
 acknowledge full and complete discharge and payment
  of this Mortgage and hereby cancel the same this the
