Rufus F. Hill To Geo M. Whetstone
           "Mortgage"
I Rufus F. Hill being indebted to Geo M. Whetstone
of Columbia County Florida for advances made and to be
made to enable me to plant and farm in Alachua
County during the year 1882. Now to Secure said advances
I hereby Bargain Sell and deliver unto the said Geo M.
Whetstone his heirs and assigns forever - all the crops of
what kind soever grown planted or cultivated by me or
which may hereafter at any time in the future be planted
grown or gathered by me or for my benefit on or off
of any and all lands in Alachua County Florida until
the debt hereby Secured with interest is fully paid also
the following described property to wit: one Bay Horse
5 years old name Henry also fifteen head stock Cattle
marked Crop split upper bit one ear Crop split under bit in
the other Branded HL I hereby waive all right to Homestead
and exemptions granted me by law in order to Secure said
advances for the sum of one dollar to me in hand paid
at and before the sealing of these presents
To have and to hold the above described property unto the
said Geo M. Whetstone his heirs and assigns forever
Provided However That if my heirs and assigns shall and
do well and truly pay or cause to be paid unto the said
Geo M. Whetstone his heirs or assigns by the first day of
November next the Sum of all such advances as may then
be due as aforesaid to the amount of and in case of Fore-
closure I will pay all costs including Complainants attorneys
fee then the estate hereby credited shall determine
In Witness whereof I have hereunto affixed my hand and
seal this the seventeenth day of January AD 1882

me Rufus F. Hill to me well known and acknowledged that
he executed the foregoing Indenture of Mortgage for the pur-
poses therein expressed whereupon it is prayed that the Same
may be recorded. In witness whereof I have hereunto set my
hand and seal this Twenty third day of March AD 1882
